Therapeutic Approach

My approach to therapy is collaborative and integrative which allows for effective, individualized treatment that blends evidence-based techniques to address your concerns. Grounded in an interpersonal framework, I find cognitive-behavioral and narrative therapies useful because they both focus on the beliefs and stories that one uses to make sense of their experience(s). Importantly, I consider the systems in which my clients exist. Caregivers, family members, co-workers, and school/work personnel all directly and/or indirectly impact the therapeutic process for individuals and families. It is then that I integrate my understanding of your relational patterns as well as environmental and systemic stressors into a framework which allows for us to dismantle and disrupt maladaptive thoughts and behaviors that prevent you from being who you aspire to be.
